Q: My membership has lapsed, how do I renew?
A: All former members with prior log in credentials may log in to the site then proceed to the “Renew Your Membership” option under the Club 173 menu to renew online.
Q: I just joined or renewed online and I received a PayPal email referring to “Automatic Payment Profile.” I thought my renewal was optional, what gives?
A: Your CPHS membership renewal is and will continue to be optional. In order to automate the renewal process for our now 1,000+ members, we selected a subscription system with an anniversary date tracking feature. As such, PayPal sends two emails regarding your transaction; one confirming your payment, and one confirming cancellation of the automatic renewal feature. Your expiry date my be viewed by logging in and clicking on the “Renew Your Membership” option under the Club 173 menu.
Q: Where’s my old profile info?
A: During the new site construction, we decided it would be a good opportunity for members to update their online profile with current information, and a photo if you choose. The profile information is not your “official” Society contact record. That information is archived separately on a protected database.
Q: Is my profile information shared with others?
A: Yes. Your CPHS profile information is viewable to current members, only when they are logged into their account. Non-members and the public-at-large cannot view your profile information. The community feature of the site is similar to Facebook – you share what you want to share with people you know, and you can communicate directly with other Society members.
Q: Am I required to complete my profile?
A: Nope! All that is required is your name and username. Everything else you choose to include is at your sole discretion.
Q: I’m a current or former Society member, but I’ve misplaced my username and password, can I get that please?
A: You can log in and reset your password with just your email address, even if your membership has lapsed. Alternatively, go to the Contact Us page and submit your request, and we will contact you within 24 hours with your log in information.
Q: Do you store or save any of my credit card or personal information?
A: All transactions with the Society are handled securely by PayPal. No credit card numbers are collected or stored on this site or any other Society resource. Member contact information is stored offsite on a protected database, and is never published or shared with any 3rd party for any reason.
Q: I’m a Disney Cast Member, I hear we receive a discount on membership?
A: Current Disney Cast Members may join or renew for the special price of $1500 annually. To receive the Cast Member rate, simply join or renew online then send an email to castmembers@carolwood.com with your name, division (Studio, WDW, etc), and department. You will then receive a refund of the difference, $1500 or $900, accordingly.
