Cast in solid bronze from a pattern created from the original eagle personally selected by Walt Disney for the top of the sand domes on the steam locomotives at Disneyland.

Casting performed by the same foundry in Prescott, Arizona, that produced the famed "Partners" statue in the hub of the Magic Kingdom.

In 1951, Walt Disney Productions released a cartoon short featuring a miniature live steam train in the backyard of Donald Duck, who battles Chip 'n Dale for control of the railroad. The train was patterned after the Carolwood Pacific Railroad at Walt Disney's home.
