We are deeply saddened to share that our very good friend, Steve Solovitz of Lakeland, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 8th, 2023. Ever present at our UnMeeting events, Steve was always welcoming, friendly, and fun-loving, elevating the happiness of everyone around him. All of us who know Steve will be forever changed by his generous and jovial spirit.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Carol, and his two sons and their spouses: Stephen and Willow of Portland, OR, and Daniel and Nerissa of Cottage Grove, MN. He is greatly missed by his three grandsons: Rowan, Leander, and Oscar. He is also survived by his mother, Evangeline, and his sisters, Claudia (Larry) Ochonicky and Susan Keene.
A memorial will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church in Lakeland on December 23, 2023, at 2:00pm. A further celebration of life will be planned in the Midwest in the spring or summer of 2024.
